Mercury: How to beat the West Indies in five easy steps

I thought this article was pretty funny really.I am glad to see that the West Indies are not going out to play cricket with their tails between their legs. I am proud to think that they wouldn't be taking any kind of racial abuse on the field from Australia or South Africa under the guise of sledging......

Mercury: How to beat the West Indies in five easy steps: "Don't annoy Chris Gayle. Gayle lost half his match fee when he got into a fight with Australia's Michael Clarke in their match in Mumbai. Never has the famously laid-back Gayle been so animated. "

Another magnificent win for the underdog champions!

It has been another magnificent win for the underdog ICC Champions on their quest to repeat as tournament champions.

Having won the previous ICC Championships the West Indies have had to qualify all over again to compete in the current trophy matches. They have made it all to the finals and yet remain the underdogs.Who would have believed that the team would have made it so far.

Listening to the television commentary Bruce Yardley didn't gave them a chance against Australia earlier in Mumbai. Damien Fleming predicted an easy South African win today but that was not to be.

Once again Daryl Cullinan has predicted an Australian win in the final on Sunday. This time 'by a nose'.

Today I saw some amazing West Indian cricket by Christopher Gayle and Shivnarine Chanderpaul..............will the underdogs become the champions again?

Don't Underestimate the West Indies

A lot of people don't know just how good the West Indies cricket team is.We have been getting a beating so much in recent times that we are being undersestimated.I don't think that is a bad thing.South Africa says that they have a formula for bowling at us in today's ICC championship trophy match. The thing about West Indian Cricketers is that when they are really going there is no formula. For a long time the problem with the West Indies cricket team has been more mental than anything else.

Now we are seeing confidence creep in.It comes when people like Greg Chappel say that we have forgotten how to win.It comes when people like Tony Greg say they are going to make us grovel. When it comes,it comes with a distinctive Caribbean attitude,Caribbean celebration and Caribbean flavour.

My warning to all comers is just don't underestimate the West Indies...and that goes even if you are a West Indian...
